The Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (T-Bird), a jet trainer by Lockheed Corporation, debuted in 1948 for military use. The T-33A, a two-seat trainer, evolved from the earlier TP-80C. Though primarily a trainer, the P-80 saw combat in Korea. Notably, on November 8, 1950, First Lt. Russell J. Brown made history by downing a Soviet MiG-15 near Sinuiju, North Korea. This image captures the T-33 Shooting Star at the 2019 Defenders of Liberty Air & Space Show.
